When a writer doesn’t see herself as part of the artists’ community, they don’t feel empowered to fully immerse themselves in the powerful work of writer as artist; which requires active engagement with society and its beautiful ugliness.

It is never enough to know the self as one thing and live as something other than what is known. Decolonizing the Language of the Erotic is an intensive 10-month generative workshop steeped in the AWA Method as well as Somatic Practices. This organic workshop will challenge everything you think you know about language, power, and the use of the Erotic to return both to you.

Writers are artists, activists, and human beings. Writers give so much of themselves in service to telling stories. A commitment to storytelling is also a lack. of commitment to self.
